Are you ready for the holidays?

It’s time to haul out the holly!  The holidays are finally here.  The next few weeks will bring plenty of celebrating.  Many families plan on traveling over this holiday season.  Jamestown Shoe and Luggage Service offers these tips for holiday travel:

•    Leave in plenty of time to make it to your destination.  No matter if you are traveling by car, train, or plane, you need to get to your destination safely.  Add a cushion of time to take into account traffic, pit stops, and gridlock.
•    If traveling by plane, try to take just a carry-on suitcase.  Travel light!
•    Bring an extra bag such as a folded-up duffel bag to bring bag all of your holiday goodies.
•    Charge all of your electronics.  Download a new movie or book before you depart for your destination.  Bring earphones also!
•    Ship gifts instead of bringing them with you.  Saves space and prevents delays at the airport.
•    Take breaks to eat and keep hydrated.  If traveling by car, schedule frequent stops to stretch your legs and give the kids a chance to walk.
